Whisp & Breeze's First Photos

These photographs were taken two days ago.....the first of our special little babies; Whispering Wind & Spring Breeze. Both are adorable tubby tots! The gorgeous Whisp is available to a pet home and Breeze would make a fabulous addition to an established breeding program. Its just a shame we haven't room for her to stay here!

Breeze looking like big sister Thorn at this age, except Breeze is going to be much better!

What a cutie!

This little boy is just super, long tail and all!

Look at that amazing face!

Too full to move!

It is fascinating to see this tiny pair developing more and more each day, opening their eyes for the first time, blinking at their mum and following our voices around the room. They look at us and each other with sheer wonder, and now realise that by having each other they have a constant source of fun and naughtiness. Breeze on wobbly legs knows that if she aims right, she can bite her brother's tail and Whisp likes nothing better than nipping the end of her nose! They are so funny, and after they have finished their antics and have drunk all of the milk they can fit into their small round tums, they cuddle up together and fall back into the land of nod.

Two little sleepy heads!

I will post more pictures soon, so you can all enjoy their development with me. x

New Arrivals!

We welcome two new arrivals who were safely delivered on Saturday to Kiri & Spirit. This is Kiri's last litter before being spayed and therefore these are two very important little bundles. We think we have a bob-tailed female (Spring Breeze, aka Breeze) and a long-tailed male (Whispering Wind, aka Whisp). I think Whisp should be 'Whizz' because thats what's he's like; despite being so tiny if you blink you miss him, because he's gone - normally in the direction of the entrance hole in the birthing box! Its a good job Breeze is much quieter.

Both kittens show signs of dad's distinct coat and wonderful face. I will post some photographs shortly. These kittens are available to pet or breeder homes.

No Kittens Available at Present

We have decided to keep Briar and Thorn here at Handale to join our breeding program when they are much older. They are exceptional kittens and we are excited to see how they develop and look forward to the future with them both. Please check our 'news' blog to keep updated on their progress.

We don't have many litters each year, but if you would like an opportunity of owning a Handale kitten, please contact us and we will be happy to take you details and notify you of future 'arrivals'. We hope to have at least one litter in the second half of the year.

Thank you for your enquiries to date.

Gorgeous Girls

These two stunning girls are just turning 16 weeks and are already displaying the wild beauty that Pixie Bobs are renowned for! Either girl is available as a high quality pet. Both have very different personalities; Briar is the most active kitten ever and very much 'in your face'. She must see everything that you're doing at close range, even if that means sitting on your shoulder as you're drying your hair. Thorn on the otherhand is a quiet and gently affectionate and has even visited a local nursing home to see a resident who was feeling a little unhappy - she's a real little sweetie!

Superb Girls from Kiri x Spirit

One of our baby girls is available for a loving pet home - we still plan to keep whichever kitten is not selected as we love them equally. Both are vaccinated, microchipped and at 14 weeks of age, are in a position to leave us immediately.

Thorn

Stunningly beautiful, Thorn has very tall lynx tips to her ears and random spotting over her coat. She has that wild look that takes your breath away, and sometimes you have to remember that she is domesticated!

Briar

Briar too is a wild looking girl, but very different to her sister. She has a very distinct look which I believe comes from her Springcreek lines. Because she's constantly running round, its very difficult to get good photographs of her, so I will keep trying. This is a very rare occasion to see her sitting still!

Updated Photos - Female Kittens Available

Thorn
What a beautiful little lady Thorn is - she reminds me a lot of our Shimmi when she was this age. She looks like butter wouldn't melt in her mouth, but she's normally responsible for most naughty things - like pulling the plants over and taking off with anything thats not hers! Please see previous blogs for Thorn's full details.

Briar
Although Briar looks as though she's going to be a short-hair, I'm sure she will be a mid-length coat. Briar is very vocal and demands attention from her brothers and sister, wherever she is in the house - at the moment it's normally half way up the Christmas tree! Please see previous blogs for Briar's full details.

Stunning Baby Girls!

We have two girls from this fantastic litter born 12.10.09 to Kiri and Spirit. One of the little ladies will remain here at Handale, but we have decided to keep whichever girl is not selected for a pet home, as we love both girls equally. They are from exceptional and limited lines, and either of the baby girls will make an exclusive, top quality pet with a perfect little personality!

Thorn

Pet Price: £1000

Thorn is a very chunky, beautiful girl, with a shaggy mid-long coat, which we anticipate will lighten up as she matures. She has a three-quarter length tail and at this stage we are unsure if she will inherit her dad's unusual eye colouring. Please see one of the updates below to see our magnificent Spirit. She catches everyones attention with her impish antics - she's normally biting her brothers and sisters tails, pulling them off my legs so she can climb up to see me instead!

Briar
Pet Price: £1000
Briar is our 'mile a minute' pixie bob kitten as she never stops. She's constantly running here, there and everywhere - Now you see her, now you don't! Here she is playing her favourite game of hide and seek behind the cushions. She's a gorgeous little girl with an inquisitive personality. She has the most amazing random spotted coat, with a long tail carrying the wonderful black banding that we always hope to see on long-tailed Pixie Bobs. Whilst it appears that Briar is going to be short coated, and is a slender Pixie Bob compared to her sister and brothers, she has the most massive feet. You could be forgiven for mistaking her for a poly!

Forthcoming Litters

Kiri has been introduced to Spirit - fingers crossed for an October litter!
We are so excited about this prospect as Kiri has previously produced some stunning kittens and Spirit...well, he is just totally awesome!! What more can we say!

Please check back for further details, or please e-mail if you would like to be contacted personally on any baby pixie' arrivals. We are more than happy to pass on exciting news!

A mothers pride!

I wanted to share this touching picture of Shimmi and her son Shadow.

Her pride is visible for all to see!

Shadow is currently remaining with us at Handale. We hope he can do as well as his mum in the show ring as a kitten; TICA Best Longhair PixieBob kitten of the year 2008/09 Northern Europe and TICA Second Best Longhair Pixiebob kitten of the year 2008/09 internationally!

We may consider placing our little man at a later date - we will keep you posted.
